The level at which your child auditions does not necessarily dictate the level they will be placed in. Ballet Boost is a stretch program so we don’t group by age but more by ability. The ages for the audition naturally help us group dancers we are yet to meet.
Please see the photo requirements below that apply to all ages and need to be attached to your application:
Female identifying students aged 12 and over can add a 4th on pointe but this is not essential to access the audition.
Ages start from 8 as of the September they would be due to start – so some 7 year olds may be at the audition.
Please email us if you have a focussed, strong, 7 year old who we might be open to considering. They would need to be able to concentrate for a 2 hour ballet class and be technically at the right level.
In year auditions can be possible if we have space – these take place by video application. Please see the information below.
If you are incurring any problems please email us at admin@balletboost.com with your pictures, details and venue of interest.

Disclaimer: we realise most students will be having to dance in small spaces with less-than-ideal flooring. Therefore please take note of the following: Please ensure you clear a space for the exercises to be performed safely. We understand the dancers may only have a small space, a difficult floor surface to work on and that they haven’t had access to ballet classes in a studio recently. Exercises should be filmed from the front, showing as much of the dancers body and movements as possible. If you need to slightly adapt the set exercises for the space, this is not a problem.
